Hello everybody,

I am trying to guess the origin of the word 'fortnight'. As far as I know, it is a period of two weeks. Is it a shorten form of 'fourteen nights'?

Regards,

Yuri

Hi Yuri,

You're absolutely right. 'Shortened'.

Good afternoon, Alan, and thank you,
