Winter is here in Germany. #1 (permalink) Wed Oct 14, 2009 13:21 pm   Winter is here in Germany.

Winter showed its face today,
The wind blew cold and hard.
The little children covered up,
And hurried to the yard.
The teachers ushered them inside,
To where the rooms were warm,
Not for them the wind and rain,
Inside was safe from harm.
They played their games,
And sang their songs,
Their little noses red.
Until once more their parents came,
And took them off to bed.

I really hope that Winter,
Will be very short this year,
Let New Year come and quickly pass,
Let's all be of good cheer.
So that little children once again,
Can sing and play their games,
In the sunny yard without their coats,
No thick scarves, wrapped around their throats,
Just warming sun, and cheery rays,
To enjoy once more,
Those Summer days.

Kitos.
