Hello,

What's the difference in use between: I haven't (have not right?) and I have no
When do you use each construction

Is it true that generally, we add "got" to " Haven't"? (I haven't got the keys of the car"

If you want to translate it into French...
I haven't got the keys (Je n' ai pas eu les clés de la voiture?)
I have no keys of the car

Thank you very much

Hi,

I would say: I haven't any keys or I haven't got any keys or I don't have any keys. The use of 'got' strengthens the idea of possession.

Hi Maaten,
It's nice to meet you here. Mr.Alan is an experienced tutor and he is right. By the way, what about using "gotten" instead of "got"? Thank you.

Hello

Thank you for your messages!!
So we can conclude that boths options are correct, and that GOT is only used to strengthens the possesion.

It isn't possible to translate " got " in french?

Merci d' avance
