Do whatever you want, I don't care.
Do whatever you want, I don't mind.

I think both sentences are all right. They can be used when the speaker's emotion varies.
In the practice, the correct answer is mind instead of care.
Could someone explain the difference between care and mind, please?

Good morning Naiverock. My thoughts are that, "I don't care," would be the closing retort in an argument.... "Do what you like, I don't care." "Go where you want, I don't care."

"I don't mind", on the other hand, would be to offer no resistance to a questioning request;
"Is it OK if I sit there?" "Is it OK to smoke in here?"

Quest:
Does it mean that the item hasn't been billed and it put in the bag
