Hi Svbla If you had a score of about 20 it's not that much terrible, it might be good enough depending on your intention. you might need to improve your other skills too.
I had read all the essays that Yamilet had written. her essays was really clear to understand..organized and enjoyable to read. and I had passed comments bellow her essay. you can find some grammatical mistakes or misusing of words in her essays that it often happen to me too. but just She knows How to put some life into her writing. that's it. that's why I, Tom, every learners and Kitos, like her essays.
However, she didn't use proverbs, idioms, great advanced words or complex structures in her essays. I was just amazed by her speaking score that was really awesome, it was great and I think that it's out of reach of one who has never leave in a English-speaking country except for English teachers. |
Thanks a lot. But I think I still need to fix the pros about the test comments, which are very important. So, you do you think about the essay that Kotis corrected for me, I know that's much better, but can I do better? |

Hi Kitos is a native speaker of English,Of course he is perfect in his mother tongue, something that I'm not I'm still a simple learner but may be a bit experienced than you. he is really helpful and kind he have spent much time to correct learners and student's essays. But as I have realized he is not interested in scientific(dry) essays and he is not familiar with TOEFL or IELTS tests or essays that one is expected to write. All in all, I do believe that we should take his advise. _________________ Global Marketing |

Good evening Svbla yes, Kitos is a selfless, kind and experienced man...he has made a lot of young friends here who love him. so there is nothing to be worried about. keep writing.
I always ask myself How many words one have to learn in order to say I now this language? 2000- 5000 or 10000 words or more. we don't now all the words in our mother tongue, especially when it comes to terms of scientific or literary vocabulary. let's consider the course of literature in universities in which student learn new words.
we always use some vernacular vocabulary and slang words to communicate with our friends. therefore, I believe that that someone who wanna integrate into a new community and make new friends should learn the way the use their language, isn't it? knowing all the words is difficult, so we should learn useful ones. have you ever thought that how many words you know in your mother tongue? learning a new language is time-taking but worthwhile but how long does it take? I believe that for understanding and being able to handle daily conversations just six months is enough. however, what I(we) want is more. _________________ Global Marketing |
