Hi Alan,
You can really show off with these roses ! I've never seen so dark lilac roses. They are very beautiful and especial.
With these flowers we can say good-by to May 2011. I wanted to send photos of burgeoning roses and in full flowers ones.

Hi Kati and Alan,
it certainly has become spring on this forum. I love how this flower (photo) craze has broken out! Quite contagious, isn't it? :-)
Great roses you are all having in your garden! Wow!
Allow me to add my Mom's tiger lily to this "merry month" thread before May is over. I snapped this shot this afternoon.

Looking forward to summer,

Hello Alan, I'm very glad to read an interesting essay from you today. May is my favorite month of the year here Down Under, which is Autumn. It will be the busiest month for me replanting all the annual flowers. Garden's looking good, all Camellia trees are flowering this month, they're so beautiful. My health is also improving from allergy too because the weather starts cooling down and we get relief from the hot summer sun. This year we got a lot of rain in summer. You talk about May flies only living one day, I think we don't have any May flies here. We have sand flies(midges), they can be very irritating to your skin when they bite you. Worker day or Labour day in QLD is on 7th of May, different states have different Labour day holidays in Australia.
For Thailand May is the worst month as always has scorching hot summer, which can be 40 degrees Celsius and very high humidity. I wouldn't go back to Thailand in May month.
Thank you for sending me more lessons, Regards, Unchan |

Hello Alan,
It is great difference between the merry month of May and March in our country. The roses and the trees have only buds on their branches. But every day becomes greener.
March looks like in our country:
There are hyacinths.

The almond trees began to bloom only yesterday.

Pictures of mine taken . The first was taken few days ago. The second was taken yesterday when I saw the first flowers on the almond tree.I emphasised the mine taken because I learnt from your letter that we can put a possessive adjective before a past participle.

Hello Unchan,
The Mother Day is a moving holiday in Hungary. We celebrated on the first Sunday of May. The tulips and lilacs are in bloom in the beginning of May so we give our Mother these flowers.

Hello Kati, It's interesting to know about what day is the mother day in different countries. I like tulips very much, they have nice bright colours, but I can't plant them in my garden because a bit too hot here in Queensland. Do you know what day is the mother day in England? Meybe Alan can answer this question.

Hello Unchan,
I was curious of the Mother Days. I found that it is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, yet most commonly in March, April, or May.
