Hello,

As sunlight enters the Earth's atmosphere, the surface of the Earth is warmed.

My questions is what conjunction can I use instead of as in that sentences. I just have problems to use as correctly. Can I use when? thank you.

Yes, when is fine; it is even clearer here than as; we might have wondered: did the writer mean to express "because" or "when"?
