I've been trying hard to find a way to cope,
With your fading dreams and your busted hopes.
But every day I share your pain,
For I know you need so much to gain,
a working knowledge of my mother-tongue.
And I know it's so damned strange,
how it always seems to change,
Just when you think you've got it taped.

I learned it on my mother's knee,
for she was always good to me,
and the learning came so easy, and so fast.
I never really knew,
the problems that you do.
My future lay ahead,
I had no past.

She taught me how to read,
and 'bout everything I'd need,
to go through life and hold my head up high.
Now I'll do the best I can,
to help you with your plan,
To get you where you're going, that's if I can.

Kitos. (Rambling again.)
