The last time the God was seen
There’s a legend among the people on the earth about the time whose existence no one can ever suspect. There is a legend among all people; happy or sad, rich or poor, about the time that man was firmly loved by God.
As the story narrates, there was a time when there was nothing but peace and happiness among people. There was no notion of war, sadness, rage and jealousy in any dictionaries. They say in that time, all tears were tears of happiness, and whoever would pray, his prays were immediately answered.
They say in that time, sun would shine modestly on earth and the sky would never let any living creature suffer from thirst. Even in that time nobody would live without trying hard for feeding his family, but people were all happy, and the God was seen every day.
There are some days in my life, whose memory I retained from the most remote memories of childhood, about the time when God would still live in people’s hearts. I still can remember the time when there was no end to the spring rains; when my grandmother would look at the raining clods and appreciate God’s kindness. I can remember the time when it would take us days and days to remove the snow from the roof in the winter. As far as I can trust my memory, there was a time when everybody could hear the song of morning bird, could hear children playing and laughing in alleys. I still can remember how lovely the tastes of fruits in that time were, the time when everyone could afford living a happy life, and the God was seen everyday…
But those lovely days are now gone. Nobody exactly remembers when God left us, but almost everyone knows why. They say something happened to people’s hearts, where the kingdom of God was, that could no longer deserve his existence. When it happened, the clods forgot how to rain, the sun forgot how to shine, and people were doomed to wander in the world and search everywhere for their lost happiness, and I say this vain wandering lasts for ever as long as the corruption of hearts exists… |
