So here it is, Merry Xmas! #1 (permalink) Sun Oct 25, 2009 11:31 am   So here it is, Merry Xmas!

Xmas-time rushes toward us yet again.
A time for rejoicing and hoping for a continuation of our lives and successes, and the dream of even more.
A time for reckless spending, the buying of lavish presents for our nearest and dearest family and friends.

Also a time of dread and anxiety for those who have fallen on hard times.
No work, and certainly no spare cash for reckless, frivolous spending. More a time to budget even more stringently, in the hope of being able to gather sufficient money to buy a cheery Xmas card and to pay the ever-increasing postal charges.

For life is but a circle. We must learn to bear the hard times, along with those of more fruitful seasons.
What goes around comes around, and never is that more evident than at this festive time of year.

A time to take stock of the happenings over these passed twelve months, and to consider your progress through this life.
Have things changed for the better, or for the worse?

He's the little boy that Santa Claus forgot,
And goodness knows he didn't ask a lot.
He wrote away to Santa for some soldiers and a gun,
It broke his little heart, when he found they hadn't come.
Oh how he envies all those other boys,
And wanders home to last years broken toys.
I'm so sorry for that little Laddie,
For he hasn't got a Daddy.
He's the little boy, that Santa Claus forgot.

Kitos.
