Hello
I want to know if Author house means publishing company or it means something else?

Hi Sandy1, I have just spent £1999 for the Waterston Premier book option ( 1 Sept 09 still waiting! so much for their 45 days 'Rapid Release'), I was informed by their sales person that they are the UK arm of the company and that I would be dealt with in the UK, BEWARE THIS IS NOT SO! I have received no help or direction from them, phone calls are forwarded to the USA to people that have no idea about my book, you are passed from person to person and then the dreaded dial-tone! I have tried emailing my complaints to them if they bother to reply all you get is 'I'm sorry to hear that' but offer no answers to the complaints and finish with 'have a nice day' or that 'I have looked into this and I see that you have talked to somebody and that it is now all sorted? ( I must of had a senior moment that day because I cant remember talking to anybody about my book, Oh! except the person that was trying to sell me more of the thine air that they use. Also beware their hole setup does is not Apple Mac friendly some how their site managed to crash my Mac.
If you are trying to get your book published with print on demand I would recommend that you look at 'www.Lulu.com' I now realise that for the £1999 I payed AH and all the work I had to do for them I could have gotten a similar service for FREE at this site.

Thanks for helping me but actually I`m not trying to publish a book.
I have read an article and it confussed me alittle bit because sometimes they say an Author House and then they say publishing house so I was woundering if they have the same meaning or not.
And Unfortuntly no one has answerd me.
