Hi Sonia,
'Lest I should ..' is rather a formal construction and is also a bit dramatic. In conversation we would usually say 'in case', It has the sense of 'if possibly ..'
You can say: Lest I should forget to send the letter, please remind me = In case i forget to send the letter, please remind me.

"He wrote down the address lest he should forget it." What does the use of "lest-should" indicate here in this sentence?I shall be highly thankful to you.

| Yes i think "in case" sounds better, "lest-should" sounds a bit formal! |
