I want to ask a colleague of mine where James desk is. Can I frame the question like this?

Do you know where James sits?

Can anyone suggest some better ways of putting it?

That's fine and common.

The post of this LloydRR is actually a common spammer's message. I have already deleted several users on this forum who each posted five such messages (and nothing else). They used the phrase "that I can stare at" several times. I don't know what good it does them since there is no link in it. For now I will give this one the benefit of the doubt.

Hi Cerberus,

You are right. This guy is a very sophisticated spammer. He is some kind of 'sleeper' which means he first posts a message that looks legitimate. Once the thread has moved down the list he'll edit his post by inserting spam links. I'll forward this thread to Joel Milne who has joined our team as a programmer. Joel is going to support our anti-spam campaign from a technical end.

Thank you very much for posting this. I really appreciate your constant help!

Good job Cerberus for bringing this to light. And thanks for the introduction Torsten.

Our spam prevention efforts were moved forward today by adding a significant number of commonly used emails and usernames to our disallow and block lists. These were individuals who have been caught in the act on other forums.

Regards, Joel
