Is progress always good?

Is progress always good? Some people take it for granted while people disagree with the statement.Admittedly, progress is good in most circumstance.People live a better life due to economic progress. Students get good achievement and make progress bit by bit.Companys grow into multinational corporations only through progress. But nothing is go exetremely one way. Every coin has two sides. Sometimes progress is not that good.

First, the most suitable is the best.From one point of view, making progress for one component is appreciable. But when you make a whole picture, it may not as good as it turns out.Take a machine for example. It will be assemabled through hundreds components.Even you invested a lot in one certain component,but it will not inflence the performance of the whole machine.You just waste the money for that single component. From the cost perspective,it will not always good to make progress.The most important thing is to take full use of the cost.

Secondly,making progress means the previous one will be out of dated.We need to consider the negative influence the progress bring about, not only the positive one. For example, the Apple just make its investment in the computer turning into profit. Millions apple fan rushs into the apple stores for this computer. However, Progress makes new function coming true. If you throw the new technology into market right now, it will definitely making the previous project losing. Making progress is not always welcomed for the time being.

Last but not least, making progress may occupy too much of your energy and time.You may risk yourself isolating from your friends and losing other things.It makes you look differnt from them.People will stay away from you sooner or later. Because they don't want to be shamed by their less competitive achievement.Sometimes people like to stick around the talent and learn from them. However, there are people can't bear their friends are always better than themselves.Besides,you could also lose your friendship becasue you concentrated too much on others things which you are keen on making progress all the time.You just don't have time for them.

All in all, taking all these pointed into account, I disagree with the statement that progress is always good, even most of the time it goes that way.
