When I rearrange the pieces,
In the puzzle of my past.
I think about the good things,
And did they really last?
I guess they didn't really,
'Cos there only were a few,
I let the memories slip away,
And now I'm left with you.

Your image haunts my every day,
My every dream at night.
How come we never bickered,
How come we didn't fight?
If our life was so ideal,
Why did I walk away?
The Devil dealt the Joker,
Now someone has to pay.

I guess I'll have to foot the bill,
The way I've always done.
But still I dredge up memories,
The way we both had fun.
We laughed and danced our lives away,
But I knew it had to end.
The very least I hoped for,
Was that you'd be my friend.

But it seems that friends was not enough,
You really craved for more.
I wish I'd paid attention,
And never closed the door.

Kitos.
