Of course!!!

That is used to refere to something(actually not more than one) which is nearby , while those is to refere to many things which are a little bit far.

This: to refere to a singular noun that is near. It's opposite is " that" and the plural is" these.
That: to refer to a a singular noun that is far. The plural is " those".
