'Casual dress code' describes the informal way the staff dress. They are not wearing formal clothes. 'Casual clothes' are the clothes you wear at home/on holiday.

I chosed manner, because I thought what the visitors commented were the worker's behavior, which had already happened. While the "code" always refers to words.

Remember the past of 'choose' is 'chose'. 'Code' is the word that suggests that this is the correct way to dress as recommended by others.
