These are just silly, silly, minor details. Anyways, just for the sake of perfection in such a great website, here goes what I've found:
ESL/EFL Test #116 "Weather Test (3)", question 2 "... array of colorsin red, yellow..." -> -> "array of colors in red, yellow..."
ESL/EFL Test #119 "Weather Test (6)", question 6 "collecting foodor building shelter" -> "collecting food or building shelter"
ESL/EFL Test #121 "Real Life: Grocery Stores (1)", question 7 "Fresh and fruits and vegetables are..." -> "Fresh * fruits and vegetables are..."
ESL/EFL Test #125 "Real Life: Accessories and Clothing (2)", question 9 "when the floors are little chilly" -> "when the floors are a little chilly"
ESL/EFL Test #128 "Real Life: Transportation (1)", question 10 "stops along long >,< rail line systems" -> "stops along long * rail line systems" (This needs native speaker confirmation; to me this punctuation seems odd)
ESL/EFL Test #129 "Real Life: Transportation (2)", question 2 "kinds of transportationS systems" -> "kinds of transportation systems" ESL/EFL Test #129 "Real Life: Transportation (2)", question 8 "where one man or womEn picks up" -> "where one man or womAn picks up"
ESL/EFL Test #132 "Conversations and Comprehension (3)", question 10 "I don't think I want to see her again for awhile." -> -> "I don't think I want to see her again awhile/for_a_while." (confirmation here)
ESL/EFL Test #135 "Vocabulary Practice: Tigers (1)", question 2 "they like hunt .........." -> "they like hunting/to_hunt .........."
ESL/EFL Test #136 "Vocabulary Practice: Bees (1)", question 2 "Bees makING a ......... sound when they fly around." -> "Bees makE a ......... sound when they fly around." ESL/EFL Test #136 "Vocabulary Practice: Bees (1)", question 6 "Bees fly ... in order collect pollen." -> "Bees fly ... in order TO collect pollen." ESL/EFL Test #136 "Vocabulary Practice: Bees (1)", question 8 "Bees live together in bee .......... These are... (a) hive (b)..." -> "Bees live together in bee .......... These are... (a) hiveS (b)..." ESL/EFL Test #136 "Vocabulary Practice: Bees (1)", question 10 "When bees are not found in wild,..." -> "When bees are not found in THE wild,..."
ESL/EFL Test #137 "Vocabulary Practice: Halloween (1)" "the participants>'< must keep their hands..." -> "the participants* must keep their hands..."
ESL/EFL Test #139 "Vocabulary Practice: Tortoises (1)", question 1 "They can live to be 100-yearS-old!" -> "They can live to be 100-year-old/100 years old!" (Now I'm not sure about this; I just remember once reading an article about the use of hyphens, which mentioned that plurals are mostly forbidden with them; this suggestion really needs native speaker confirmation =o{ )
ESL/EFL Test #140 "Real Life: Types of Buildings (1)", question 9 "building that contains many>,< individual units" -> "building that contains many* individual units" (Again, this needs native speaker confirmation; to me this punctuation seems odd)
There are 20 "slots" of inexistent/skipped tests that make the numbers on the site list mismatch the numbers of the actual files and automated forum references (as in "ESL/EFL Test #140"). Pretty harmless (until users make references manually from what they see on the list), but still, here are the slots: 2, 14, 18, 19, 24, 25, 42, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 71, 72, 73, 78, 81 (We want more tests! The more the better! =o] )
I started paying real attention from question #116 and on, and many suggestions may be simply senseless (non-native speaker apologies here). So if anyone volunteers to double-check the tests, before one day I do this whole Grammar/Elementary set again... ...feel welcome and invited to contribute to this site's excellence.
Correcting cheers! Planta. |
