Dear Mr Hieu,
Thank you for your advices to reduce stress, I think that is very useful. And I want to add my opinion that you should listen to your favorite songs and you may chat with your dear-friends to share your cares. For men playing a kind of sports is a good solution to reduce stress, but for women talking with dear-friends is better way.
Thanks and best regards, Ms Mai Anh |

Dear all,
I believe most of you don't have serious problem in your eyes, except short-sightedness. But a certain amount of you might have problem like me.
I like to do exercises. When I were 20 something years old, I used to play badminton regularly. One day, I found 'flying mosquitos' in front of my eyes. I didn't see a doctor until two years later when I passed by an eye clinic and I occasionally thought of my eyes. The doctor told me I got serious 'retinal detachment' and I would be blind if I saw him two weeks late. I didn't know if he just wanted to threaten me. Days later, I got laser treatment to fix the broken edge of my retinal in both eyes and I cannot play badminton too much anymore because it's too violent.
The thing is, retinal detachment is irreversible. The 'flying mosquitos' will always be there. The most good sitiation is, they never get bigger. Right now, I just do easy exercises like jogging. So, if you found any symptom of retinal detachment, please go to see a doctor immediately.
By the way, I do agree that doing regular exercises is a good way to reduce stresses, not just mentally buy physically. It can help you to remove 'clogs' in your body, very helpful. I really recommend.
All the best Piangel |

Hi Hieupt , You are right that regular exercise routine always reduces stress and having a break as well.People often are under stress because of too much work, not spending enough time for break, sleep and walking among the nature. I think when you are stressed you need to have fun like R.Coli said, doing something pleasant and speak out you problem to some friend. With another person you will easily find out what stress you and decision of the problem. In addition I want to say that playing games like chess, reading scientific book or excess watching the television can't get you relaxed. It would go your problems deep and make you more confused, frustrated and nervous. For the coffee I have different opinion perhaps I don't drink coffee frequently. It makes me too energetic and I can't stand on my seat. Piangel, did the doctor tell you your retinal detachment is due to the flying mosquitos ? Except you had some problems before the case and the mosquito only deepen it. And if the detachment is irreversible how could the laser correct it ? Take care see you. |

Hello Hieupt, hello all!
What really helps me to reduce stress is aroma therapy. Different scents affect a person's mood differently. For example, I find lemongrass energizing, mint stimulating, and hay flowers relaxing. For a dripping nose I use Australian tee tree. These are all essential oils. A few drops in a bit of water is enough. Then simply heat the water/oil mixture and inhale its steam. I also like to burn various kinds of frankincense, like styrax, myrrh, and kechrimpari. I also love Byzantine frankincense and Nag Champa from India.
Also certain colors affect the way I feel. I prefer "cold" colors like blue, purple, wine red, etc. Yellow and orange send me running!
Claudia
P.S. Piangel, I had the Lasek eye surgery done. I don't regret it at all. It truly freed me of the shackles called eye glasses and contact lenses. I didn't go jogging until the eyes were fully healed. Retinal detachment is a serious condition, so take care and all the best to you. _________________ In the land of the ignorant, the biggest fool is king. |

Hi! Borislav and Claudia,
Retinal detachment is just like a torn wall paper aparted from the wall. There is no way to recover the torn retina. What doctor can do is to 'nail' the detaching edge on the where it was used to be by laser heat. The torn line will always be there forever. That part of retinal cells cannot sense the light anymore so they become dark zones in my vision and they look just like 'flying mosquitos'. Thanks for your cares and hope you guys can have healthy eyes.
