Good morning all. 4.00 a.m. Tuesday November 10th. 2009.

For many years now we have lived with the reports of UFO's and grown to regard all sightings from many reputable witnesses as "errors of judgement".
Successive governments have hidden "the truth" from the general public, refusing to confirm the statements from highly respected astronauts, pilots and witnesses on the ground.

The reasoning behind these actions is to prevent mass panic across the globe.
It's true that we would have exactly this should the same governments state that the reports are true, and that there were signs that we were to be invaded in the not too distant future.

To add a little credibility to their rejections of such a thing happening we have the irrefutable point that "aliens" have never once attempted to contact us by using any known means of communication. If they were to have done so then perhaps we could get around the table and discuss alternatives.

Now we move on to the the Mayan Calender which predicts the end of the world on the above date. It has proven to be uncannily accurate in past prophecies, and many respected authorities agree with these findings, yet we have have not had one peep out of various governments.
Are they again viewing these prophecies as hogwash simply because there would be nothing that they could do about it?
No contingency plans necessary because it is inevitable. End of the world, full stop!

The disturbing reports that are bubbling to the surface appear alarming.

What are YOUR thoughts on the subject?

I'm just going to put my head under the blankets and assume the foetal position, sucking my thumb.

Kitos.

Hi Bill,

I think the whole theory of the world coming to an end in 2012 is just hogwash and doesn't hold water. Someone had predicted that the world would be doomed in 2000 but it didn't happen. Some people, like those who made the movie 2012, just feed on such rumours and fan the flames of panic. I had never heard of Mayans until some one revealed their baseless theory of world ending in 2012. I wonder how many had. NASA has clearly stated that these are all rumours and the world is not going to end anytime soon, not at least because of some heavenly body colliding our planet.

Anyway, if you believe that Mayans are right in their prophecy, why don't you bet, say 1000 euros, on it? If it turns out to be a hoax, you give me the money; and if the world ends I will give you the money. A fair deal, don't you think? Very Happy

Hey Kitosdad, hey Daemon,

I think a much fairer suggestion (in case you bet) was to store the 1000 euros anywhere. You never know whether you have the money on 21st of December 2012 and the opponent can fillful the contract. I offer you the chance to make sure the money was there by taking it on my bank account and if Iīm still there Iīll give it to the winner. Very Happy Thatīs what I called a fair deal. Rolling Eyes

As for the Alien issue Iīd say they ( the Aliens ) have found a way to talk with the common people on Earth. I mean, the problem till now just was the language since they had lots of bīs and mīs and also nīs to pronounce. similar like in "goob ebveninb" . Hence, they sent us H5 N1 in order to enable us to talk with them. Unfortunately govīs , too, noted it and started a hugh injection campaign in order to make us afraid of an Alien talk to the Exterrestrians. Shocked They ( the govīs) again refuse us humble citizens the joy of interstellar friendship.

Yami, I really am sitting on the fence over this issue.

The opinions are very persuasive in both camps, so I'm praying that they are very wrong, but when the "experts" tell me about that Mayan Calender, I begin to feel more than afraid.

Bill.

Hey Kitosdad,

thanks for the "fence idiom".

Hence Iīll try to comfort you a bit with Nostradamus. According to that prophesier there is no need to worry before 2050. The only problem with his prophesies is that they canīt be translated precisely. Prophesiers do enclose their forecasts with ambiguities so that noone really can clarify what they wrote.

Nonetheless, before the world drowns fate owes the world "Happy Henry" the King from France who will fight the "yellow danger", regardless of whatever that is.

After all Iīm positive concerning the worldīs survival.

Every year or decade there is cutting-edge theory of theory of the world's end.The apocalypse didn't occur in the millennium 2000 nor in 2006/06/06 - the date of the devil. After 2012 there would be new prediction for the end of the wolrd after that again and again. My suggestion is the human kind can't predict the exact date.
