This is Kalyani Jaddu. I am saying heartfully Thankx to you. This site is very helpful to me for learning English.Sir now i would like to ask one question.

"He has had several job interviews but nothing has panned out yet"
Sir, i think this sentence represents past tense.Can you tell me, can i use this sentence like as,

"He had several job interviews but nothing has panned out yet"
Sir,Is it correct or not ? can you explain it sir?

Hi Kalyanisuresh,

Both sentences are acceptable. In this sentence:

He has had several job interviews but nothing has panned out yet. Here the suggestion is that he has taken several interviews so far -up till now.

In this sentence:

He had several job interviews but nothing has panned out yet. Here the suggestion is that the he took the interviews in the past and so far - up till now nothing has worked out for him.
