We've seen them come,we've seen them go.
They wanted to learn, they needed to know.
And so we tried,we did our best,
To help them through their trying test.
And then they faded like puffs of smoke,
They treat us as if we were a joke.
But if they failed, they came again
And through it all we shared their pain.
So here we are,all primed and ready.
Hold your nerve,we'll keep you steady.
The TOEFL test can be so easy,
It doesn't have to make you queasy.
Just do the work and don't forget.

"We've seen them come,we've seen them go.
They wanted to learn, they needed to know
"

Here you are talking about those people who come to this site with a huge motivation and then they go. They give up.

"And so we tried,we did our best,
To help them through their trying test.
And then they faded like puffs of smoke
"

When they come back, you make every thing possible to keep them here. You treat them like your children. But they give up once more.

"They treat us as if we were a joke."

They think that you are here just to spend your time.

"And through it all we shared their pain."

Then you comfort them.

"So here we are, all primed and ready"

In spite of everthing, you have energy to help them.

Hold your nerve,we'll keep you steady.
The TOEFL test can be so easy,
It doesn't have to make you queasy.
Just do the work and don't forget.

Thank you Tom for such a clear and rational explanation of the hidden meaning therein.

What folk have to realise is that there are only so many hours in the day. Luckily for me I am one of those people who can get by quite well on four hours sleep, and after trying to make a few bob to pay my bills, I have time to devote in helping, wherever I feel qualified.
On the other hand, both Alan and Torsten are occupied with dozens of other essential functions and just do not have the time to answer personally every query that some folk feel that they should.
We have some great helpers here, but we are not Supermen. We have our families to support by earning an income, but come hell or high water, we are there to help those who need us........but please let us rest occasionally. :) :)

Thanks Tom,. you are indeed a good friend.

Kitos.

Good evening Kitos!
What you have been doing in this community is very important to us. There's no price for such gesture. We'll be grateful in the future for what you've done today, for the time you've lost. You are giving more than help, behind your words there're lessons of life. I'm shure that your families and the people who work with you are very proud to have you beside them.

You will never be a joke for us,Bill!!!
Even though lots of people here will leave this forum after they finished their tests. But they will always remember you and introduce their friends here!!
This is such a wonderful forum with people like you, helping others and not asking for anything.
Hope one day I could do something for you too, but wishes are all what I can do now.
Have rest whenever you need, sticking to the computer screem is bad for your eyes!!!And sleep in the afternoon, that's really good for your health!
Best wishes for you and your family!!
Anniehal
