You always try to look your best,
A little better than the rest.
Why do you try,?
Who gives a damn,?
Your just another tired old man.
Yet still you strive
To keep your place,
An equal in the human race,
Not a loser,
Nor a thief
Your self-respects beyond belief.
Others wonder why you try,
They let their lives just pass them by.
No shining shoes, no well pressed shirt,
They never try to shift the dirt,
That lingers there beneath their nose,
Dinner stains upon their clothes.
Or is it me, am I too vain?
Will I cave-in beneath the strain,
Of trying to look the best I can?
After all, I am but a man.

Kitos.

Many thanks Yami & Naz. As long as you continue to read and find enjoyment in my offerings, then I am more than happy.

Yami, it is wonderful that you continue to frequent the Forum. We all miss you terribly, but I am happy that many of our newbies now peruse your essays as "highly recommended reference work." Ain't fame wonderful! :) :) We do miss you.

God bless you and your little family.

Bill.
