Hi serkan,

Many thanks for your positive feedback. You can use the phrase It was my pleasure when somebody has thanked you.
Look at these examples:

A: Many thanks for you helping me with the washing up.
You: It was my pleasure.

You could also say: You're welcome/Not at all/Any time.

Dear Mr.Torsten

I have little confusion and I would really appreciate if you would like to explain this

("Responses (6)", question 5 ) why the answer is "It was my pleasure" instead of "It is my pleasure"
Although the incident was of last week but john is thanking her in present situation.

or the reason of using past sentence because of she did that in past???

is it?

please explain

Thanx in advance

Hi Misskhan,

Yes the sentence is in the simple past because Sue refers to something that she did a week before.

Best regards,
Torsten
