Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Universities should give the same amount of money to their students' sports activities as they give to their university libraries. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.
I only partially agree with this statement, because this sound to me like a slogan without fundament, but I Will provide my reasons in the next part of this essay. University is a place where the young people of one nation receive a high education, this is the reasons why most of the people think that university ought to be free and provide money for books, house, sports etc...
OK! this is quite true but ones need to be realistic, I mean, someone have to pay to have this kind of studentships. Who pays are the citizens, that have the duty to devolve their money to the collectivity in the form of taxes.
The problem is. Why one should give the money to someone who already have money to pay for his students' sport activities or for the rate of the college and so on? I think that the educational systems must be able to eliminate the possible causes that could, in some way, nullify the right of a student to have the same opportunities of another one with the lack of having a rich family.
In conclusion, a support the idea that university have to spend the money chiefly to remove all problems that can influence the educations and accomplish to its first purpose, that is providing educations independently by the social situation of students, furthermore. Giving them also the money to practice sports, could be a good idea, but this cannot be placed at the same level as the money given for the university libraries.
Taking into consideration all this aspects I can sum up and say that I agree with the statement but not at all.
