Hello everybody. May I introduce myself to you? My name is Fabrice; I work for the French subsidiary of a major software company. I'm in HR and we recently have introduced the TOEIC as a tool to measure our employees' English language competence. My task is to organize specific TOEIC training classes and integrate the TOEIC into our existing training programs. We are also planning to offer TOEIC prep courses to other companies and professionals.
OK; enough about the TOEIC, I understand that in this section of the forum new members can introduce themselves and talk about social topics. So, once again, greetings from Paris and hopefully we can will become friends!

When I was a small boy , I allway wanted to be a student at France. Hello tortoise. Yes of course French is also an important language but English is the language of international business, science and technology. That's why more and more people in France are learning English. As you probably know English contains many words that are of French origin so it's quite easy for any French person to understand English.

I've studied French for 2 years in school. But I find it difficult to learn French. It's difficult to remember that the word is "masculin" or "femelle". I have 3 periods of French and 3 periods of English a week. It's not too much.

Hello Tortoise, does your nickname have anything to do with the pace at which you are learning languages? Just a joke You ask how you can learn French. The methods and techniques are certainly the same you are using to learn English. You should listen to French radio stations, watch movies in French, read articles and books in French. And of course you can talk to French speakers in French. Also, you might want to try audio language programs such as Pimsleur or online resources.
