If YOU could change one important thing about YOUR home-town, what would you change? Some people want to have a new park where familIES could spend weekends. Others prefer to build a company which will resolve the unemployment issue. As far as I’m concerned, I would set up a good university in my home-town.
First, WE DO NOT HAVE A university or college in my home-town right now, THEREFORE we have no choice but to leave our home-town to pursue our education. Lots of my friends and I don't want to leave our parents, as we are the only child in the family. We will miss our family and want to take care of our parents, especially when they are sick. Besides, some of us would have to travel A long way to RETURN home. It's really a hassle to USE PUBLIC TRANSPORT to rush home during the Festival period.
Secondly, building a good university will enhance my home-town's economic development. It is said that Silicon Valley is unalienable with the famous Stanford University which cultivateS the most talented elites for the technical companies. I believe the university will fulfil the human resource needs which are crucial for development in the information era. Hence, it will attract MANY COMPANIES TO START-UP in my home-town. Not only WILL THAT decrease the unemployment rate in my home-town, the company tax will definitely contribute to our economic development.
We COLLEGE students WOULD NOT have to go far away in pursuit of a decent job.
Last but not the least; a good university could make my community more appealing to residents. With the percentAGE of highly educated people increasing WITHIN THE COMMUNITY IT WOULD beCOME more civilized. Other assorted recreational amenities, such as A museum OR A theatre and so on, COULD be set up. More people would like to relocate to this wonderful city. Life in this community would be more colorful and prosperous.
All in all, there are lots of benefits IN BUILDING a good university in my home-town. If I could change one important thing about my home-town, I would not hesitate to build ONE. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Lots of good ideas. You write well, and your work will improve the more you do so.
