Reading fictions such as novels and short stories more enjoyable than watching... #1 (permalink) Tue Nov 24, 2009 21:53 pm   Reading fictions such as novels and short stories more enjoyable than watching...

Could you please anyone correct my essay? Thanks!

I can’t completely align my self with the statement that reading fictions such as novels and short stories more enjoyable than watching movies as I am a big fan of movies. Further, the enjoyment that I gain watching movies can not be overwhelmed by the feeling that I normally attain by reading books. It’s true that reading develops our imagination as well as the vocabulary. However, I believe when considering the enjoyment that those reading and movies bring, movies give the best.

Movies have effects and views that give the viewer the real experiences. Nowadays there are movie theaters that provide real environment and sound qualities to the viewer, so that they can experience the real situation there at the theater. However we can’t experience that excitement while reading a book. For instance, I am a big fan of Harry Potter series and I have read all the books and watched all the movies of the series. Of course, the movies are the best source of enjoyment as the graphics and effects were superb in there. Moreover, I felt that I was involving in character when I see it in a wide screen at the cinema. In contrast, when I read the book I had not had a idea about some places it described. I imagined the situations as best as I can, but I found that I was wrong about the places that I had imagined when I saw the movie.

Further, It is fun to see a movie with some friends rather than reading a book alone. Reading is a stoical activity. It needs concentration and good environment to attain a higher imagination. As a student I have to deal with my studies everyday. I really find boring to read a book again after exhausted from the studies at the end of the day. If I can see a movie with my friends or family, it is great. We can discuss about the situations that are coming after each circumstances, even we can have a snack while watching.

Last but not least, It is really fun to watch a movie where many people around rather than reading a book in your ordinary place alone at your leisure time.

All in sum, it’s true that reading has a great value. It increases our imagination and improves our creative ideas and skills related. Nevertheless, when comparing the enjoyment that it gives, it is some what poor source to the movies. Hence, in conclusion I strongly believe that movies give us more enjoyment rather than that of the fictions such as novels and small stories give.

I can’t completely align my self with the statement that reading fictions such as novels and short stories IS more enjoyable than watching movies as I am a big fan of movies. Further, the enjoyment that I gain FROM watching movies cannot be compared to the feeling that I normally attain by reading books. It’s true that reading develops our imagination as well as OUR vocabulary, however, I believe when considering the enjoyment that reading and WATCHING movies bring, movies ARE best.

Movies have effects and views that give the viewer VIRTUAL experiences. Nowadays there are movie theaters that BRING real environmentAL and sound qualities to the viewer, so that they can experience the real situation there in the theater.

However we can’t experience that excitement while reading a book.
For instance, I am a big fan of THE Harry Potter series, and I have read all OF the books and SEEN all OF the movies of the series. Of course, the movies are the best source of enjoyment as the graphics and effects were superb.
Moreover, I felt that I was involvED in THE character when I SAW it ON a wide screen at the cinema.
In contrast, when I read the book I DID NOT HAVE ANY idea about some OF THE places it described. I imagined the situations as best as I COULD, but I found that I was wrong about the places that I had imagined when I saw the movie.

Further, it is fun to WATCH a movie with some friends rather than reading a book alone. Reading is a stoical activity. It needs concentration and A good environment, PLUS A VIVID imagination.
As a student I have to deal with my studies everyday. I FIND IT REALLY boring to read a book after BECOMING exhausted from MY studies BY the end of the day.
If I can see a movie with my friends or family, it is great. We can discuss the situations that are coming after each circumstances. We can EVEN have a snack while watching.

Last but not least, It is really fun to watch a movie WITH many people around rather than reading a book alone.

All in ALL, it’s true that reading has a great value. It increases our imagination and improves our creative ideas and related skills.
Nevertheless, when comparing the enjoyment that it gives, it is A somewhat poor source WHEN COMPARED to the movies.

Hence, in conclusion I strongly believe that movies give us more enjoyment IN COMPARISON TO THE LITTLE SATISFACTION THAT I OBTAIN FROM READING BOOKS.
