What is GRE®?

Is there anybody who can tell me what this test is ?
Who needs to sit this test and why ?

What sort of structure or content does this test have ? (for example, speaking,listening,reading, and writing in IELTS)

I know IELTS,TOEIC,TOFLE, but I have not heard about this test before. Please anyone tell me.

"Graduate Record Examinations"

This is an exam used for entrance into University graduate schools (Master's, Doctoral programs), and also for some business schools.
