The noun "food" can be countable and uncountable...how can we distinguish?
for example:
(Italian/Chinese... food) why not "foods"..?
(fatty food) or (fatty foods) which are both correct.

Hi Richard,

In most instances you would talk about Italian/Chinese/French food. If you are talking about different types of food (as you suggest fatty foods) or indeed types of food throughout the world, then it would become countable.
