Emphasis for "to be" Sat Oct 22, 2005 6:46 am  Emphasis for "to be"

Hello

I know when adding emphasis, it is possible to use do/did +infinitive in affirmative sentences. For example:
I did see him.
I do go to the school.

Can I use emphasis with the verb "to be"? and can I emphasise comands, using "be", like this: Be quiet.

Well, thanks in advance

.
Yes, and it is very common:

Do be quiet-- I am trying to hear the TV!
