hi I would like to find out using of keep in grammar

sometimes I see in some articles this structures

keep+ (someone or something) + (verb-ing or past tense of verb)

what is the name of this topic in grammar?

or if there is no topic for this, could you explain me in which situation are we going to use past tense verb or verb-ing

thanks

Please take a look at these sentences:
Why did you keep me waiting so long?
Why do you keep asking me these questions?

By the way, we don't say 'explain me' but either 'explain' or 'explain to me'. Also, please pay attention to basic punctuation and capitalization rules.

About Keep someone past participle, I think the structure has passive meaning.
