what is the difference between eventually and at last?

Hi Sevide,

Both adverbs point to the end of something happening. Eventually suggests a slow process as in: Children grow up and eventually leave home and lead their own lives.

At last suggest something happening in the end suddenly as in: We waited and waited for a bus and then at last one arrived after 40 minutes.
