Cerberus said that you can put any comma on "stops" and the parts you need to put emphasis. I do it here and on the other internet forums... but is that gonna be acceptable on my thesis writing and finals on my English class?

No, I said that about adverbial constituents only. And even then, you should be frugal. I just meant to say that it is not necessarily "wrong" to add non-compulsory commas to separate adverbial constituents from the rest of the sentence; and that there are no strict "rules" for such non-compulsory adverbial commas.
