Id suggest flash cards as a good method for building your vocab. Write down the difficult words from the word list on a blank card (around 10 words per card) and their meanings on the reverse side....carry them with u and go thru them whenever u get time...
Barrons is a good book for vocab prep. Dont get bogged down by so many words....just sift out the ones u dont know and make your flash cards..i.e. if u have time at hand.

Manohar,since u have a month at hand first go thru the GRE high frequency words as the entire list wud take lots of time.....it took me 3-4 months, i put in 1-2 hours for the first two months and 2-4 hours for the last two months....
as I suggested in a previous post go thru the GRE thesaurus posted by Jayashree in this forum for a quick summary of the GRE words...

Congrats for gr8 score. Can you please tell me how much time it took for you to prepare for gre? no. of hrs/day and total months. I started in jan but wasted alot of time in feb and march due to job and other distracitons. I'm planning to give gre in august.
