Please help me with the sentence:
I let my children make their own decisions now they’re older. I wouldn’t …..to interfere
A resume B consume C presume D assume
Which is the correct answer?
I am confused "assume" and "presume". Can you tell me the difference?

They can be synonymous when 'assume' = 'presume' = 'take to be the case or to be true; accept without verification or proof'. However, in this sentence, 'presume' (the correct answer) has a different meaning: 'take liberties or act with too much confidence'.
