Hello Michael,
You can edit your own posts 12 hours after the post creation.
Many thanks for your question Slava |

Hi Michael,
You can edit your messages any time after 12 hours of posting them. In other words, you can't edit them within 12 hours after posting them. As for the voice recorder, it works fine here so you might try to re-install or update Java. The recorder itself is a Java applet so you don't need Flash to record voice messages. Only if you want to replay the messages in MP3 you need Flash.
Hope this makes sense. Many thanks, Torsten

Hello Michael,
Please check if you have Java installed on your PC or notebook.
Go to http://java.com/de/download/installed.jsp and check your configuration.
Then click on the red record button and tell me what happens.

Hello Torsten,
I wasnīt aware of the 12 hour rule since I often have edited messages shortly after having posted them. Is that new? Nonetheless I not even can edit the initial post of this topic which is much older than 12 hours.
Hello Slava,
I checked the java-installation and the site congratulated my for having installed the Version Java (TM) 6.0.170 and confirmed the correctness of the installation. Though, Iīm unable to edit my posts. Indeed the windows opens the edit window and I can edit the text there. But when I try to send the corrected message only a blue frame on top of the screen appears showing the hint: "Sorry, you canīt edit this message." _________________ "Ho ho!" said the clown |

well I tried out the red record button . Nothing happened unless in the order line below appears the message: "javascript: void(0)"
Do you see any solution for that problem?

Hello again Slava,
well, when I follow your latter link a pop up window appears on the screen with the subjectline "Windows Internet Explorer" that shows on the left a black exclamationmark inside a yellow triangle and the remark "You can use java". At the pop upīs bottom there is a switch to confirm. and then there doesnīt happen anything more.
My operation system is Windows XP Home and the Browser is the T-online Standard browser.
Whatīs more: with another esl site where the java script is needed for live chats it does work. That made me think that possibly an adjustment at the server filters my permission to edit my writings and to record a voice message out? I just had the idea that, perhaps?, a certain track on the server could block my attempts since Torsten kindly changed my nickname.
Whatīs your idea on that? Could that be an opportunity? Because it all worked fine lately as long as I was registered as Fan of........

one more hint, perhaps. When I click at the "Record voice message" button in the "post a reply" window the message (written one) will get submitted but the recorder doesnīt appear.
By the way, I can hear the voicemessages of other persons quite clear and in normal speed.
Hey wow, the edit opportunity worked well now! _________________ "Ho ho!" said the clown |

Hello Michael,
You wrote: "My operation system is Windows XP Home and the Browser is the T-online Standard browser."
For proper use of all features on our forum please apply another browser. My suggestion is Firefox. T-online Standard browser is not a standard for the web :)
Please install Firefox and you will get all benefits from this one.
