| Looks like a cheap copy of a Samsung, surely made by exploited children in Sri Lanka, India, China, Pakistan or any other third world country. I doubt is really dual sim. |

Putting the political and social aspects of this issue aside, it's interesting to note that there doesn't seem to be many dual SIM card phones on the market right now. Has anyone of you ever seen or used one?

Hi Torsten, I have never used a dual SIM phone, but I used to have a Dual SIM adaptor that I could fit to any phone. You can buy them for about €7 and they very easy to use. Once you've inserted both SIM cards, all you simply do is turn the phone off then back on again and it will automatically switch between the SIM's. Of course it does NOT allow you to use both at the same time, but it does take away the need to carry 2 mobiles.
From my knowledge there are not any phones with twin receivers, which without, you cant have 2 lines running through 1 phone.
As for the phone, it's one of those cheap chinese copies of the 'iphone', and of course they are cheap for a reason.
Regards

Hi Scott,
So do you need to cut the two SIM cards into halves or they fit into the adapter without cutting? Also, does the adapter allow you to be reached on both phone numbers or is only one of both active at a time?
As with the phone in the photo, both SIM cards are active at the same time.
Thanks, Torsten

Laughable, the brand in the back is "Phone", never heard a brand famous like this. "Looks like a cheap copy of a Samsung, surely made by exploited children in Sri Lanka, India, China, Pakistan or any other third world country. I doubt is really dual sim." This word is right, this iphone like phone is a chinese phone, tell more detail, it's a Sciphone, Hiphone or Ciphone from China, may be the sciphone i68, which is a dual sim dual standby phone, now almost all the chinese mobile phone( http://www.espow.com/wholesale-cell-phones-chinese-phones.html ) is manufactured with dual sim dual standby standard. |

Both Cookie and Rhettsmile, Please make sure that you have your facts right when you post things on the internet because otherwise it can mislead large a large number of people creating a wrong impression. Sri Lanka does not manufacture or assemble mobile phones, fake nor real. In fact Sri Lanka does not manufacture any electronic devices. Also illegally employing someone below the age of 18 in Sri Lanka is not very easy because the government is very strict on this and can cause a business to shutdown. Not to mention a possible life time prison sentence for the employer. |
