TOEFL essay: The best way to teach is by example #1 (permalink) Wed Dec 30, 2009 12:26 pm   TOEFL essay: The best way to teach is by example

Can you correct my essay and graded from 1-5 .And thank you very much:)

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
the best way to teach is by example.

I believe that providing an example is the best way to teach. I am a teacher and I provide a lot of examples to my student. I believe it's an effective way to teach and learn for many reasons.

First of all, teaching by examples make the presented information more realistic. Whn I present new information a lot of my students ask me what I mean, but when I provide an real example from their life they know what I mean. For example, last semester I was teaching about decision-making and how everyone must votes for the best decision especially for long term decisions. So my example was: if your family want to buy a new house who make the decision. In general family members make a meet and decide because it long term decision that effect all family members. But if you want to buy a pen, there is no need for that meeting.

Second reason, teaching by examples encourage students to share their experience with others. In the last example about decision making some of my student provide examples from their own experience. For example, one of my student said that all family gathered and went to the car showroom to chose a new car. And they buy a car that everyone likes.

First and second reasons ,realistic and sharing, lead us to this conclusion. Providing example is the best way to learn. Making a positive and an interesting environment in the class.

[size=18]I believe that providing an example is the best way to teach. I am a teacher and I provide a lot of examples to my studentS. I believe IT IS an effective way to teach and learn for many reasons.

First of all, teaching by example makeS the presented information more realistic. WhEn I present new information a lot of my students ask me what I mean, but when I provide A real example from their liVES they know what I mean.

For example, last semester I was teaching about decision-making and how everyone must vote for the best decision, especially for long-term decisions.
So my example was: if your family want to buy a new house, who makeS the decision?
In general, family members meet and decide TOGETHER, because it IS A long-term decision that AffectS all family members. But if you ONLY want to buy a pen, there is no need for that meeting.

Second reason, teaching by example encourageS students to share their experienceS with others.
In the last example about decision making some of my studentS provideD examples from their own experience.
For example, one of my studentS said that all OF HIS/HER family gathered TOGETHER and THEY ALL went to the car showroom to chose a new car.
AFTER MUCH DISCUSSION they BOUGHT A car that everyone likeD.

First and second reasons, realiSM and sharing led us to this conclusion.
Providing exampleS AND HOLDING positive and interesting DISCUSSIONS is the best way to learn WITHIN THE environment OF the classROOM.
