Academic report: We use MANOVA technique to analyze the multivariate observations #1 (permalink) Wed Jan 06, 2010 17:37 pm   Academic report: We use MANOVA technique to analyze the multivariate observations

We use MANOVA technique to analyze the multivariate observations. The data consists of two different categories of measurement. First part concludes those heavy metals and second one concludes wet and dry mushrooms weight. Putting both parts in analysis, the impact of magnetic factor is significant (P-value 0.0063). However it seems to be reasonable to analyzed this two parts separately.
Analysis of first part shows on significant effect of magnetic levels (P-value 0.34). To find which metals are affected by magnetic factor, we carry out a principle component analysis.
The effect of magnetic factor on first four principle component is significant (p-v 0.0032).
We choose those metals which take apart in these four components, i.e. Fe, Zn, Ni, Ag and V (). At level of 0.05 alpha-error the magnetic field has significant impact. The table () shows the estimated coefficients of magnetic factor on those metals. For example the amount of Fe and Zn decrease about 13 ppm for per 5 tesla increasing the magnetic field.

Hi Sayid,
what do you mean by 'wet and dry mushrooms weight'?
Are you measuring the magnetic field's impact on the mushrooms in
order to find their content in heavy metals by ppm?

Hi Nikolia
you know, we measured mashrooms weight, when the mashtoom is wet. and we make it dryed and then we measure the dried mashroom's wiegth.
yea, we gonna do that, ppm is the scal of measurment tool.

I find the third statement a little bit confusing...
It seems better to me if ti was like:
'' The first part of the data consists of (the weight of ?) heavy metals and the second one of wet and dry mushrooms weight.''

Also the next statement:
"However it seems to be reasonable to analyzed this two parts separately."
could be:
"For the sake of the experiment's accuracy, the two parts are analyzed separately."

Also:
"Analysis of the first part shows (a) significant effect...."
"The effect of magnetic factor on the first four...."
"We choose those metals which take part in...."
"At (a/the) level of 0.05 alpha-error...."

Forgot to ask if this is a part or all the report?
If it's all the report perhaps it has to be more analytical...
