Hello guys what does "cookie-cutter romcoms" mean in this sentence:
It's back to cookie-cutter romcoms as Jennifer Lopez makes a comeback. But someone needs to point her towards her adventurous 90s films if she really wants to recover her mojo.

Hello Davy,

I would interpret "romcom" to be a shortened form of "romantic comedy". The word "cookie-cutter" means something like "unoriginal" in this context. The reference here is to the fact that J-Lo is attempting to make a comeback by making romantic comedies that seem to be just like lots of other romantic comedies. In other words, there is nothing original or distinctive about them. (When you make cookies using a cookie cutter, all of the cookies end up with exactly the same shape.)

Right.
My Boss always speaks about cookie-cutter approach.
He says such an approach/plan (meaning exactly similar to many others of the same type or one-size-fits-all kind of an approach) won't work with the customers.
