Hello everybody,

Great to have opportunity to practice in a company! (should I say "WITH a company"?). Thanks in advance for all your comments on my mistakes.

Anyway, my TOEFL is very soon, and it is only now I`ve found your forum. Would be useful for me to practice in essays writing here. Learning English is a serious task, and although it is extremely important to learn it all (every day and perhaps all my life), but timing is strict and I need to concentrate at least on writing.

My name is Svetlana (Lana is short for that). I am from Moscow, Russia. Need English to continue my education in US (and just need good English :)) I studied it at school and just kept using it after (talking a bit, reading occasionally, sometimes watching films in English, or, for example, just recently I became a huge fan for Saturday Night Live...). And I see how much I still need to learn. So... would be great to get some help here :)

Inspite of my shy nature I am going to post my essays, which I still need to write, to get your opinion. See you :)

As you can perceive, I'm new here and I'm very disappointed to join this forum this late! I'm taking the TOEFL on Saturday, 16th of January and I hope it will go well. Because getting great scores it's my only chance to study out of my country, in English :S
Although I wasn't preparing for too long and too intensive, I was lead by The Official TOEFL Guide to the New TOEFL iBT, and I really hope that it helped me :S
I know that now it's too late to ask for some advice for preparing, but still... If someone can tell me something about the test day (how was the feeling, will it help any if I loose myself-because everyone around me tells me not to worry and to relax a bit :S ) and give me advice on what to pay more attention, I would really appreciate.

Hi Lana! I made some corrections with your post. If you want to improve your writing skill, it would be better if you'll follow the rules properly. I am not an expert though but I tried my best to set things right. Anyway I am open for any comments from you or from anyone else here.
