Does "where are you making for" in the test on asking for directions mean Where are you going? Was it not supposed to be " Where are you making it for"?

If it's correct as it is, do native speakers use it in everyday english as I personally find it a bit confusing? I would rather say, where are you making it to? Please correct me if "making it to" is wrong.

'Making it to/for' is wrong. 'Making for' (= heading for, going to) is correct.
