Hello C?sar, I'm very pleased to meet you. Please tell us more about life in Costa Rica. Your mother tongue is Spanish, isn't it? I've read your other messages here on this forum and it seems your English is very good. How often do you interact with English speakers?

Hi, Koko! I'm just cool! How 'bout ya? It's a real pleasure to be greeted by such a beautiful girl.

Hey, Napoleon! How ya doin'? You wanna know a bit about my country? OK, let's see...

Well, yes! Spanish is our mother tongue. Costa Rica is a country located in the very center of the American continent, between Panama and Nicaragua.

We are very popular among other countries worldwide because of being a country that has no army. This is a very quiet country, and we think that using weapons is the easy and stupid way of solving conflicts.

That doesn't mean there is no crime here, but at least our country's crime rate is very low compared to many countries.

Tourists just love our beaches (curiously, I am not a fan of 'em) and our rainforests (of those I am!).

How often do I speak with native English speakers? Several years ago, I used to do it every day, cause I worked for a tech support company. Nowadays, I do it every once in a while.

Anyway! I think I've said too much. If you have the opportunity of traveling, I would suggest you visit my land; you won't be disappointed.

C?sar, thank you for giving us an insight into your country's policy. I must admit your English is very good, you obviously have a talent for languages. What do you do nowadays apart from participating in forums?

you meant San Jose, the Capital city of Costa Rica?
why you have written it "San Jos"

to provide it....
you think that your sentence is correct? if, yes..let us now, what are you gonna provide? English?
and just take a look at your next text, since you are good at English you can find your mistakes.
English is our first or maybe second language, it's undoubtedly clear.
I challenge you to write an scientific essay, but in a friendly way.
we can help each other to improve more.
Let me now if you have any suggestions.
Thanks in advance for being helpful.

can we be friends.
make friends=to become friendly with people
make friends with somebody=to become friendly with someone
for example: He made friends with an old friend of mine.

I'm curious to know that whether you are a student of bachelor degree and you're gonna be an English teacher or you just kidded.
it's a brilliant idea to use spell check machine because writing in an understandable way is indispensable, isn't it?

Hello, Cesar, Richard_Jack, and everybody else here,
The posts are welcomed here, especially the critical suggestions.
As the ESLers or even beginners of English, corrections and encouragement is particularly important and dispensable.
After the Cesar's introduction of Costa Rica, I find lots of interest to have a visit to this country.
My homeland China is also a great country full of interest visits and historic places.
Just among the first week of October, which is the holiday for China's 60th anniversary, there are 8 million tourists visiting Tian'anmen Gate.
China has been a rapid developing country and among the most welcome landscapes in the world. In amount, the places worth your visit is enormous, even more than we can image. Just for examples, West Lake, Forbidden City, Great Wall, Yangtse, Mount Tai, Jiuzhai village, Temple of Confucius, and so on and on.
If any chance, you must pay a visit to China. Chinese people are very hospitable and warmhearted, and you will be warmly welcome in China, definitely.
