hi, herewith i have a sentence that i 'd like to know it it a verb or a noun : " The heat can help CAUSE a heart attack or stroke ". the word CAUSE here is it a verb or a noun, why it was written without TO or ING form ?

neither, "CAUSE a heart attack or stroke" is noun together, thats why cause written withou ING.

hi, so you mean " cause " here was writen with a heart attact is a noun then it links with a heart attack the compound noun . ?

exactly I think, because the verb in the sentence is "help", but my English isn't good enough that I can give the correct answer.
