Hi everybody, I have filled up the blanks with right words below: CHILDHOOD CONFUSIONS (BBC copyright) 1: My accent is strange, because I was _brought up_in America but I moved to the UK when I was 16. (grown up, brought up, raised up, grown) 2: I _grew up_ in a village in the country, which was much safer than a big city. (grew, brought up, raised, grew up) 3: My father owns a ranch, where he _raises_ sheep and cattle. (grows up, brings up, raises, grows) 4: Children _grow up_ so fast these days. They lose their innocence so young - I blame TV! (bring up, grow up, raise, grow) 5: We have quite a big garden so we _grow up_ all our own vegetables. grow, bring up, raise, grow up 6: The countryside is a good place to _bring up_ children because they can play outside all the time. (grow up, bring up, grow, raise)
Could you please verify whether I am correct or not? Thanks, Er.S.M.M.Hanifa. |

Thank you Kitos, would you mind if I ask you about the differences between raise and grow, please? _________________ Let's make a deal; I'll correct every single one of your grammatical mistakes AND YOU DO THE SAME FAVOUR FOR ME. |

There is no real difference, except we raise children and we grow crops. _________________ Keep it simple ... Keep it interesting. |
