My ex-friend and neighbour John Pickford is the nicest guy I have ever known. He is also the most hen-pecked man on this God's earth.

He is six foot two inches tall and his wife, Maureen, is five feet tall in high heels, but she rules him with a rod of iron.

Every morning, after they have both bathed, John cleans the bath and bathroom. He vacuums everywhere, including bedrooms that have never been slept in.

Then he collects the morning paper and goes shopping alone for the days groceries.

He does absolutely everything for his Maureen. She sits like a Queen and supervises his work. It is hilarious to watch.

I really don't know why I'm telling you this. I suppose I'm missing his friendly smile and jocular witticisms. I sure wish he was here in Germany as my neighbour.

Before I left England I took him to play snooker as he had never played before. He was like a little boy. His eyes shone beneath the overhead lights, and he shouted with delight whenever he managed to pot a ball.

The day I finally left England he accompanied me to the railway station.
He helped load my cases onto the train and his eyes were full of tears.
He said that he prayed that wherever I was going he hoped it wouldn't work out for me, and that I would soon return to Torquay.

Unfortunately his wish was nearly granted because everything I touched turned to dust
in my hands.
But I am a realist I'm afraid, and I'll never see my friend John again, at least not in this life.
Maybe on the other side. I do hope so.

Goodnight John. Sweet dreams my friend.Have a good life, for you so deserve it.

Your pal, Bill.

Bill,
I think you have missed many good things during your life that makes you so sad, I feel that you are over thinking to them in these days. With all respect my friend, I want to suggest you an idea. Why don't you try to go to a trip? For example, I know a country which is really wired, with lots of wired people, its name is England. I think you may find many similar peoples to they knew from the past in your life, there. I know how hard it is when a person feels the loneliness, because I am living alone too. I wish I could do something for you to help you...

Good morning Mix. Excuse my melancholy. I even surprise myself sometimes in the manner in which I reveal my inner feelings to all and sundry.

I feel that the idea of my making a return trip to the UK is rather pointless now.

When I mess-up I do it in a big way, and this was my biggest mess-up ever.

Bridges not only burned, but the ashes trodden deeply into the ground.

Good evening Kitos,
I know nothing about your personal life, but I wish someday you hire some workers to help you to build up those bridges, again. Please accept my best wishes.

Kindest regards

Could John be your Alter Ego ?
Is it not possible that secretly you to be dominated and
John is a person who identifies with your sub conscience?

Takes all sorts you know!! :-)

Kitosdad,

Thanks for your story

I am very touched for the story about your friend John, Because it is the same with mine. I had taken part into a training course for 10 days in Japan, and I met him there. One day after that, we became closer, he took care me during the course, every time and every where. We had many beautiful memories together. At the end of the course we had to say goodbye each other and both of us felt terrible as we were at Narita Airport and we knew it would be difficult for us to have a chance to see each other again in our life. He had to come back his country and me too.

It has been nearly two months since I took leave of him. We usually email and share everything we do on a day. So I feel that he seems to be by my side. I have to use wish much more now because of I would like to do everything with him, but I can`t. I hope we can do that in near future.

He said that he would visit my country and see me in early March, 2010 and I am counting down day by day to meet him again.

Thanks for reading my story

Thank you Bill for your kind feelings.

And you Thukh.

In fact, the bad thing that you left your partner, but the good thing that you left each other as friends.. so keep forever your beautiful memories with him.
Thank you.
