Hi there,
Is it correct to say,"I asked a question from Peter the other day."
I would like also to take the opportunity to thank all those who made
this wonderful site possible. You can't imagine how helpful it is for some one
like me living in Iran with limited access to internet.God bless you all.
Sohrab

No. The best is 'I asked Peter a question', but very formal and not so modern is 'I asked a question of Peter'.
