"to stop here" or "to stop at here"? #1 (permalink) Sat Jan 23, 2010 14:19 pm   "to stop here" or "to stop at here"?

Dear teachers,

During a group discussion, if a candidate wants to stop the other candidates go round in circles talking about the same thing, shall he / she say:

1. I think we should stop here.

or

2. I think we should stop at here.

Thank you

Kitty

Hi,
I think both of them are correct.However,the first one seems more correct grammatically.And the second one shows more emphasis.

Hallo Kwfine;

I think; in this case the meaning of "here" is "at this point"...

so we can't use at with here....
