Tesco, has banned all barefooted people in Pyjamas or nighties #1 (permalink) Fri Jan 29, 2010 13:03 pm   Tesco, has banned all barefooted people in Pyjamas or nighties

Tesco, Britains largest supermarket, has had the cheek to ban all barefooted people wearing pyjamas, nightgowns, only their undies and sometimes, nothing.

A spokesman, Dame Mary Whitehouse Jnr. said:

"It is embarrassing for other customers when people turn up to shop in their 'Jammies', no bras or knickers, everything hanging, unshaven men in their dressing gowns only, skimpy nighties (and that's only the men), tea stained vests and to cap it all, barefoot, it's outrageous!"

Outside a Tescos in Darlington a barefooted punter in her pyjamas gave the following statement whilst freezing her butt off: "What the f**k is the world coming too, call this freedom, it's like living in the GDR, we can't even wear (or not wear) what we want too, stuff 'em, I'm barefooting it off to Sainsbury's!"

I can't believe the British would really go to the supermarket in their pajamas or underwear. I have never seen that in the United States.

I don't find nothing strange.I've heard for such cases many times, but I've never occurred.
Since when the men wear bras, knickers and how did the seller see if they didn't shave their *** ?The statement is very exaggerating, it was "outrageous" to see tea strained vest .. LOL
Whenever the customers turn up in the shop they have to be served that's my view.

Anything is possible, Kito. In the US most stores and restaurants do have signs that say, "No shirt, no shoes, no service". It is also normal here for stores similar to Tesco to be open round the clock. Since the Europeans tend to be more "liberal" about almost everything, it wouldn't be a huge jump to believe that they would go to the supermarket in their pajamas or maybe in a bra with a pair of jeans, and an unbuttoned shirt or jacket. I thought the part about people shopping naked was just a bit of flourish on the part of a journalist.

After all, a city with a downtown crawling with druggies and where hookers are everywhere and even sit in shop windows as merchandise is hard to believe also, but that's Amsterdam. Many strange things happen in this world.

The overall concept is a real issue but Jamie do you really think this is gonna appear in the Paper
